Here’s a snout you’re not going to be able to get enough of! This is the Short-eared Elephant Shrew (Macroscelides proboscideus) and it’s just too damn cute.
Apparently its mate seems to think the same thing, since these are only one of a few mammalian species that are monogamous. That fur does look pretty snuggle-able! The product of two Short-eared Elephant Shrews in love will come pretty fast though, as the gestation period is only 56 days! Bet that honey moon ends quick…
