It’s a really beautiful day here in Massachusetts, around 90 degrees and sunny! In the spirit of good weather I present to you the Variable Sunbird.
This pretty little guy only grows to about 10 cm long! It behaves much like a hummingbird, feeding on flower nectar by hovering (but usually perching) to get to the good stuff.
Beautiful colors huh?
