This tiny moth, Eucyclodes semialba, was first described in 1861. I wonder if they realized in 1861 that this moth had the entire world map sitting right on it’s back! Compare this guy to the layout of the Earth below and you’ll see exactly what I mean:
How incredible is that? Eucyclodes semialba even has the ‘sandy’ part of Africa/Egypt right in the center of its back. It literally could not be more perfect. Makes you wonder just how nature could have created such a thing.
