The Southern Angle Headed Dragon (Hypsilurus spinipes) definitely looks like it descended from some sort of crazy dinosaur. The angular brow that it’s so named for is pronounced on both adults and juveniles so there’s no reason to doubt that it will always be one badass lizard. 
These guys are super secretive and slow moving. They come in shades of brown, green, and grey as well as anything in between so they’re also quite well camouflaged. A very cool creature indeed.
