No one ever really takes the time to get up close and personal with moths. They’re pretty cute creatures if I do say so myself. Luckily, Flickr user and extraordinary photographer John Horstman recognizes a fascinating portrait subject when he sees one – as is the case with this Snout Moth (Hoenimnema yunnanensis). I mean really, did you ever think that moths could have itty-bitty snouts? And fuzzy ones at that?
These guys also remind me of extremely hairy Texas longhorns (especially from the 2nd to last photo). Cuties.
