So I’ve never been a fan of spiders. I don’t know, something about their shape, size, hairy little legs that seem to be able to move a mile a minute… just creeps me out. However, instead of feeling repulsed by an arachnid today, I’m absolutely in awe. This is one of the most gorgeous species of spiders I’ve ever seen! It’s a species of jumping spider, Simaetha sp., found in the Sraburi Province of Thailand. Again, not sure of the exact species so not much info on this guy except that these particular fellows were only 4mm in length. TINY! But just look at the colors! It’s like it was hand-forged from amethyst and gold for a king!

You know who would really like this spider? Lakers fans! Purple and gold baby babayyy.
