Rare & Beautiful Nilgiri Marten

The Nilgiri Marten is so elusive that honestly nothing is really known about them. They are arboreal but occasionally descend from the trees to do who knows what. Secret Nilgiri Marten business apparently.

I just think its adorable with its black fur and yellow-orange throat! You don’t see mammals with bright colors that often. It’s currently listed as “threatened.”
