Habitat: Hawaii
Status: No conservation concerns
This week we get to admire the beautiful Gold Lace Nudibranch (Halgerda terramtuentis) with its intricate network of gold lines stretching across its body. Little white bumps, called tubercules, and white and black speckled gills and rhinophores (their sense organs) are some pretty sweet accessories that complete the Gold Lace Nudi’s look.
Interestingly, this nudibranch was only recently discovered in 1982 by Hans Bertsch and Scott Johnson of the University of Hawaii. Good find guys!
