Nothin’ like a new nudibranch to start your week off right. This is armina maculata, which is one of the first ‘night owl’ nudibranchs I’ve come across. I call it that because this species likes to burrow into the sand during the day only emerging at night to feed. They’re tiny little fellows too; only growing to about 130mm long.
This must be the party animal of the nudibranch world. Everyone knows all the action happens at night under the sea! Gotta take advantage  – nah what I mean?
