Here’s a very happily-colored nudibranch to brighten up your week. Glossodoris cruenta has a pale lemon-colored body that is dotted with red spots. That’s where it gets its name – it’s derived from the feminine form of the Latin word cruentus, which means “stained with blood.”

I guess that’s not very happy but the curly edges and bright colors allow me to overlook that minor detail.
