This little guy is known as a Fried Egg Sea Slug (Colpodaspis thompsoni) and I bet you can guess why! Its bubble-shaped shell is completely hidden by its mantle (body) which features dozens of little “eggs” neatly laid out along its length.
Although, its length isn’t much to speak of since these sluggies only reach between 3 and 5mm. Cuties!
I have a confession: I love animals. Join me and the rest of the Featured Creature community as we learn about the weirdest, coolest, and craziest animals out there. Including your dog, Mr. Scrufflebutt (if you submit him!).
