Habitat: China, as well as the Trans Altai Govi Desert and Gobi Desert in Mongolia
Status: Endangered
You definitely won’t find another creature like this on the planet! With its crazy long tail, exceptionally long hind legs for jumping, and HUGE ears, the Long-Eared Jerboa certainly is a unique character. So unique, in fact, that scientists have placed it as the only member in its genus Euchoreutes, and subfamily, Euchoreutinae.
The kooky creature is nocturnal and because it is so elusive, very little is known about its life. All we got on it is that it has some massive ears – about a third larger than its head! It is unknown how many of these creatures remain in the wild.
