Isn’t this little Tortoise Beetle (Cassidinae) absolutely stunning? It looks like a little, handcrafted piece of armor. I could see a tiny soldier going into battle wearing this helmet-like creature in a heartbeat.

I’m not sure of the exact species of tortoise beetle that this is, but it definitely is in the subfamily Cassidinae. If anyone has any ID on a more specific ID, please let me know in the comments!
