You’re definitely going to want to enlarge that first picture. The nymphs (babies) of the treehopper Metcalfiella vicina are outrageously colorful little darlings that eventually grow up to look like big momma bug, shown in the bottom photo. 

It’s pretty incredible that this tiny insect can give birth to so many colorful creatures! I do love me a good rainbow… or a hundred.
