This incredible spider (Opadometa sp.) reminds me of a lot of characters. Firstly, it looks like the radioactive spider that bit Peter Parker in Spiderman with that bright red and blue abdomen.
But secondly, and most importantly, it has an essence of Harry Potter to it. You see, when it’s feeling threatened or aroused the spider shows off a lightning bolt pattern on its abdomen which is normally not visible when it’s in a calmer state. See it in the first two pictures but not in the third? Crazy!
I wonder if this spider was the guy who inspired Harry’s famous scar?
