Habitat: found on the island of Batanta in Indonesia
 Status: Not listed

The theme song of the Blue-spotted Monitor Lizard (Varanus macraei) is definitely I’m Blue by Eiffel 65. God, what a sweet tune.
These lizards are only found on one island in Indonesia and they typically reach a length of 14 inches. They sport prehensile tails that allow it to tightly grip tree branches while slinking through the dense Indonesian foliage.
I love that bright blue hue!
